The indie gaming showcase has been cancelled due to lack of interest and engagement by developers, and instead Studio XV will showcase their upcoming indie smash hit Astoria Legends at Yushi-Con from 8pm – 9pm at the main events room! Their event will be called, “Astoria Legends: Trials of the Old King”

Astoria Legends follows the revenge story of Cybela Roen as she hunts down the Gods responsible for the death of her lover. Amass yourself with weapons of fallen Kings and Gods along the way as you forge a new future for mankind.

Players at the panel will compete for the fastest clear of the trial of one of the old kings: ‘King Amias’. Prizes will be awarded from a pool based on priority of fastest clear time and then going down to whoever could bring Amias’s health lower.

Lisa’s events in Yushi-Con are scheduled to take place between the hours of 12 p.m. and 5 p.m.

“It is a pleasure to announce Lisa Ortiz, a prominent voice actor and director of the northeast coast industry, she will be one of our guests of honor at this year’s Yushi-Con. We are psyched to have the director of Pokemon Sun and Moon on board, and are looking forward to having her included in our high-value lineup of our October 13 show,” states Patricia McGee, convention chair of Yushi-Con. “Her performances of countless fan-favorites in Sonic the Hedgehog, One Piece, Yu-Gi-Oh, Slayers, and more will surely excite us and our audience!” Patricia concludes.

Yushi-Con is a multi-genre anime and gaming convention taking place at East Stroudsburg, in the northeastern Pennsylvania region. Previously hosted by East Stroudsburg University’s Anime Club with support from the ESU Game Society, and currently hosted independently by student alumni and community members, Yushi-Con has been put together in the hopes of bringing not only the anime fandom but people from all fandom together in the northeastern Pennsylvania and Greater New York area.

“I am so excited to be appearing at Yushi-Con this October as a guest of honor!” states Lisa Ortiz, “I am looking forward to meeting all of my East Stroudsburg fans on the convention floor, and I hope you’ll make it out so we can chat more at my panels!” Lisa continued, “Special thanks to Yushi-Con for making this all possible! Can’t wait to see you there, it’s going to be a great time!” Lisa concluded.

Yushi-Con’s goal is to bring the animation, gaming, and geek industry-at-large to the Monroe County and Poconos area. They bring high-value industry guests and presenters from all over the tri-state area, such as Mike Pollock, the voice of Dr. Eggman from Sonic the Hedgehog. Yushi-Con has a vision to breathe a blossoming creative presence into the Poconos and Greater New York area, and give the locals a chance to network with other passionate animation and gaming fans and creators alike.

This year, Yushi-Con will be hosted at the Science and Technology Building at East Stroudsburg University, in East Stroudsburg, PA on October 13. It will be a full-day event with programming and presentations for all hours!
